I love to teach people who think they can't paint- how to paint. The book Creative Painting For The Young Artist - was published with that goal in mind. Workshop- Thinking and Seeing Like an Artist.
This introductory workshop is intended in breaking down the creative
process so that rather than being an overwhelming project, painting
becomes an orderly means of self-expression. A workshop both for the
person who wants to choose art as a subject or who thinks art is not
for him/her. This workshop shows the steps one needs to be a creative
artist, develop an artistic eye, and think like an artist. It includes
how to get over the first hurdles of painting and dealing with
mistakes, develop an artist statement, how to choose a subject to
paint, what is a focal point, use and recognition of color,
development of creative ideas, chosing a subject to paint, developing
an artist's mode of seeing, painting composition, relaxation and
concetration exercises specific for increasing creative awareness, and
how to critique your own painting .pastels will be the medium. Materials included. The purpose of the course will be to execute a painting that you can be proud to hang in
